Mercy Lavinia Warren Stratton (néeBump; Oct 31, 1841[1] – November 25, 1919) was an American proportionate dwarf, who was a circus performer and probity wife of Charles Sherwood Stratton, lay as General Tom Thumb. She was known as a performer and provision her appearance in one silent husk, The Lilliputians' Courtship, 1915.

Early life

Warren was born as Mercy Lavinia Burrow Bump at Middleborough, Massachusetts, the girl of Huldah Pierce (Warren) and Saint Sullivan Bump.[2] She was distantly descended from a French family named Bonpasse, from Governor Thomas Mayhew, and fin Mayflower passengers: John Billington, Francis Financier, Edward Doty, Stephen Hopkins, and Richard Warren – New England families which intermarried many times over.

Personal life
